Spring has sprung and it’s time to put on a bunny costume and go out and have some fun. If you want to just put on bunny ears for your Easter weekend shenanigans, that’s cool, but wouldn’t it be much more fun to put together a whole fabulous bunny costume!?!
Has anyone told you, “Your costume is amazing!” or “I love your costume!” or “Can I take a photo with you?”
If not, and you’re ready to move up from “just the ears” to a kick-ass bunny costume that gets noticed — read on, take notes, play with some options, shop online and in person — and put together your perfect bunny costume.
I’ve documented where I purchased all the pieces. Some came from thrift stores so they might be difficult to recreate exactly; these boards are meant to be jumping-off points for you to come up with a costume that works for your style and your event. Go, create, have fun!

Pretty in pink bunny costume
This pink costume is fun and flowy with super long fringe! The cool unique top has an elastic sequin top and long fringe below. I’ve paired it with a pink bra and yoga shorts so they don’t clash with the “dress.” For cooler weather or outdoor use, pair it with a short-sleeve pink satin jacket. (Warning: the pink of the sequin top may offset onto your skin so don’t be alarmed when you take your costume off and think you have a rash! It will wash off in the shower. Ask me how I know 😉)
I chose pink accessories, white light-up ears and a curly faux clip-on ponytail that is close to my natural hair color.

Make-up ideas
I keep my make-up fairly simple. I’d go with dramatic eyeliner and shadow (and fake eyelashes if you’re up for it), and a little iridescent face glitter or bindis, and basic blush and shimmer lipstick and/or gloss.
You can use a black eyeliner pencil to draw a little black nose and whiskers. Just remember to not touch your face while you’re wearing it.
OK, what’s next?
See what fits your style, start shopping online and in person and see what you works for you. There are amazing possibilities out there — you need to go find them. Hunting is half the fun!
