This post shows you the best deal font sites to buy fonts at bargain prices! Think Groupon for designers. I’ll highlight my favorite features of each site.
Check out these sites and sign up for an email list or two. Yes, ugh, more emails in your email box, but if the email doesn’t catch your fancy, delete it and move on. If it does interest you, go check out the deal and buy it. You’ll build a killer font library in no time!

One of my favorite things to do late on a chill Sunday night is take my laptop from my studio to the living room, turn on Chicago Fire on my Apple TV (for background noise and visuals) and search through my inbox for emails from Mighty Deals to see if I have anything flagged for possible purchase. As my ex-husband used to say, “Wow, you really know how to have fun!” Hahaha.

For some of us design geeks, buying fonts is fun, and getting them for a steal is even more fun. Am I right?!?

For young designers starting out and established designers who just can’t get enough typefaces in their library (like moi), the bestest (not really a word) and fastest way to do it is through the bundles and deals sites — the Groupon sites of the design world.

  • You want to have the perfect font to use in your logo design project for yourself, or your client
  • You want to have the perfect font to create a quote graphic to post on social media
  • You want to have the perfect font to set your business card text in
  • You want to have the perfect font to set your book cover title in

Who am I kidding — you actually want to have 10 of each of these “perfect fonts” so you can try them all and see which one YOU like the best and run with it.

Folks, that’s a lot of fonts, so you better start building that library. If you want the smart, economical way to do it, come this way …

By the way… If you want this info in handy clickable PDF to keep on your desktop, click on the graphic below and I’ll send it to you. The PDF has these deal sites + a bonus site, as well as the best websites for free and paid fonts. 👇👇👇

This post (part 3) covers the best font websites for deals + bargains!

OK, let’s get started…

where to get fonts - deals and bargains font websites

Best font websites: Mighty Deals

https://www.mightydeals.com/

This site is my guilty pleasure. When I go on a shopping spree late on Sunday night because I’m jonesin’ for some new typefaces, this is where I go!

It’s not all type — they have illustrations, slide layouts, backgrounds, photos, graphic utilities — lots o’ treasures!

  • From the home page, click on ALL DEALS at the top and then from the sub menu, click on fonts
  • Each offering has a nice big graphic summarizing what it includes
  • As I write this, Trend Rough is $19, regularly $159! Bargains to be had, I tell you!
  • Nice detail pages with lots of sample graphics and a big Buy Now button at top, or Deal Expired note, 😔
  • If you sign up, you’ll get one email every day with a different deal

Best font websites: My Design Deals

https://www.mydesigndeals.com

This site is more geared toward designers than Mighty Deals, so it concentrates on fonts, illustrations and icons, more artsy stuff.

  • Bargains on bundles
  • Exhaustive, but useful, detail pages because they gotta show all those fonts in action
  • Example: 26 Fierce, fun and fantastic fonts for only $19, I think I’ll be buying it shortly 😉
  • Each deal shows the date the sale ends so you can plan ahead

Best font websites: Creative Market

https://creativemarket.com

Creative Market goes way beyond typefaces. The main nav at the top includes photos, graphics, themes and templates. If you’re just looking for fonts, head straight to that section.

  • Main Fonts menu has a drop down of typeface categories (serif, display etc.)
  • Offerings include individual fonts and bundle deals
  • Easy-to-scroll layout shows each typeface in a nice graphic
  • Detail pages have easy-to-find payment and checkout functions
  • This is a marketplace so there are many different artists selling their wares here
  • Each detail page includes a recommendation rating for the artists and an option to follow the artist

Would you believe I have more to recommend, but don’t want to knock you over with this stuff, so I’ve put these and the others in a nice PDF you can download by clicking on that big graphic below. The PDF has links to all these sites + a few more. Download the PDF and keep it in a handy place for the next time you need that perfect vintage font, or Western font, or script font, or …
